I'm looking for a good stomp box pitch shifter or octave pedal so I can use a guitar as a fake bass live. Do any of you do this or know what other people are using to pull this off?
Ideally, I'd want something with great tracking, of course, and the ability to handle two-note polyphony and not crap out (BOSS Octave, Digitech Whammy) . No need for anything more than that, but seperate wet/dry outputs would be nice.
The EBS Octabass, maybe? I had one when I actually played bass for a bit, but I sold it because I almost never used it. Never bothered to try it on guitar. Argh!!@^#$!
