off-topic but important (cold/flu)

I'm a big poster in the old-school and to a lesser extent the musician's forum, but I wanted to send a warning to all the bigger boards here.


I'm a relatively healthy person and only get a cold/flu about once every three years or so, but I am now just starting to get over one of (if not the worst) the worst flus I have ever had. The reason I am posting this, is I know since I don't typically get colds and flu, I don't take any kind of precaution against them. Sunday Night through Wednesday night..... I just couldn't have been more sick than I was. Certainly there are always more than one "strain" going around and some are worse than others, but the one I caught was crippling. Take care of yourself and do whatever you can not to get one of them.

Yeah, I also fall sick very rarely, while other people seem to catch colds and flus every other week.

About 2-3 weeks ago, I was at McD's when someone standing directly behind me in line started coughing violently. I thought "hmm...wouldn't be surprised if I caught something nasty from that". Three hours later I had developed a sore throat and a slight fever, but luckilly it never got worse than that.

Lucky bastards!!! I have the worst defence system of the whole universe. My throat is sore very frequenetly, I fall sick EVERY fucking year and sometimes even twice a year. And my girlfriend has never EVER caught a flu or sth during the 4 years of our relationship!!! Some people are born unlucky...!!!
