Lense flare effects (ugly, plastic, unartistic)
Bevel and Emboss effect on text (ugly, plastic, unartistic)
Signature in the middle of the picture
Website address (who needs that)

Since originality doesn't necessarily have to be a good thing, I had to vote for worst I've ever seen (even though it's not).

It does look a little *too* CG for my tastes personally, but good times. I largely agree with Phanto, voted the same as him and mostly for the same reasons.

The wallpaper reminds me of the old website design with the five crystalline spheres on the index page that were really annoying but not that bad because you would ultimately navigate away from the index so you didn't have to deal with them for that long. I think you would've done a lot better if you didn't try to combine elements from two albums into one wallpaper. This definitely isn't the worst fan art I've seen, but you've done nicer stuff.

This is completely fair, though i think it'd be hard to dispute that Russ's vocals definitely helped get them where they are today. I know it's the whole band working together and they all bring major strengths (they really do, loss of any of them would hurt the band), but if Rod were still on vocals today I honestly think it would hold them back. To me, the self titled is almost like a demo in a way where it shows they're capable, but doesn't quite capture the band. On the other hand, the Russ material from DWoT on (i'm not discounting Damnation Game's relevance, just saying as a whole it feels closer to s/t than the later material) feels much more like a band that demands attention. Just my 2 cents.

Definitely not disputing that at all, I just don't think Rod is "a bad singer"..he just pales next to Russ, is all. Not everyone can have a voice like Russ', after all.

I remember a while back when the band said they'd like to re-record their debut album with Russ and Lepond. I really hope they do this, or at least record a few songs. A lot of those tunes (Thorns of Sorrow, Absinthe & Rue, etc.) would sound awesome with Russ on vocals!
