Official release date is set!

Yep, that's right. Rome: Total War is going to ship on September 22nd (next wednesday) in the U.S.! It's going to be shipping in the U.K. on September 29th. The rest of Europe will soon follow. Man, I bet they will have the game shipped by mid-October for all of us.

The wait is soon over folks. My god, I thought this day would never come, but it is finally arriving.

1 and a half years of waiting and only a week more to go until I get my hands on it!

I have no idea.
It could because it has to go through our ratings checks or something but if that is the case then I think Activision should delay the US release so that it can be released at the same time in Europe.
Remember Doom 3(it is like the 9/11 of the gaming world ).
Very few people bought it here because most of us already downloaded it.
I have already ordered RTW but having to wait a week is gonna be tough.

Do any of you guys know how long it takes to ship the game to stores?

I receive my paycheck next Friday, but do you guys think it will be on the shelves of say Best Buy or Gamestop by then?

It takes two days for them to ship it out to the stores so it will be in the stores on friday and on the internet on saturday
And then next friday I will finally have it

I'm getting it from EB. They pay for overnight distro so if it does ship on the 22nd like planned, I'll have it in my hands on that Thursday.

I woner how long it is going to take to ship the game? It cannot be more than a few days. Anyways, tomorrow is the U.S. release date! Wow. It's going to be a long couple of days before I receive my paycheck.

And after that it's gaming time, for the whole weekend...nonestop.
Then we can start organizing tournaments and really get this clan going! Everything will probably be going full speed around here.

But until then...we still have to wait.

God dang it's the release date. I don't have the game yet, but I am currently checking to see if any stores around me have it yet.

Best Buy say they are going to have the game on the 30th. There's no way I am waiting that long!

O.k. well I reserved a copy at a place called Gamestop. So I have it all pre-bought and everything, and all I have to do is wait until tomorrow. So sometime this weekend I'll tell you europeans about the game.

Until then, the wait continues, although this is the worst stage of waiting. This next day is really going to be very slow. I'll be looking at the clock several dozen times throughout the day, and wait for the call from Gamestop indicating that they have the game ready.

It was $49.99 for me. Well $52.99 with the tax, but I am gauranteed the game.

As for me, I was sick all last night (and still feel like shit), so I was tossing and turning all nightlong. We were fresh out of aspirin (or any medicine of that sort), so I had to deal with it. Add that in with the anxiety, and I was in for a long night. I fell asleep maybe for 1 hour at a time, so it's 5:02 A.M. here and I have 12 hours to go until I get the game. Gamestop should have it by then or else I'll kidnap their families and hold them hostage.

And what the hell is with these $49.99 or 59,92 prices? Why can't people just make it a good number like $49.75 or 59,75? I've pondered that for quite some time.

Hmm...I'm trying to think. What other things can I do to spend some time?
