Actually Don Corleone, I believe Requiem is refering to the fact that Opeth have been 'confirmed' to have gigs in Australia, and then 'pulled out', on more than one occasion.

So he's not getting his hopes up until more confirmation comes to hand (Trust me the first time this happened was VERY wracking on the nerves.... .....

I'm probably getting hyped up a bit prematurely, but I believe that Opeth will make a concerted effort to get out here for this tour, so it's all good!

That's right. I don't think anyone would accuse Australia of having an overabundance of noteworthy international tours.

asian tourdates huh? i bet that's like two shows in japan...it pisses me off how all metal bands go to japan and leave the rest of asia untouched. I know there's not as much demand for opeth in the rest of asia, but Hong Kong is an international city and probably the best city in asia. I hope to god the actually do come here. I would love my first concert (apart from local bands) to be of my fav. bands.

it pisses me off how all metal bands go to japan

What pisses me off is that bands like Darkane and One Minute Silence will have "Japanese only bonus tracks" on their releases, so I have the choice of paying:
$19.95 for Darkane's "Rusted Angel", or,
$42.45 for Darkane's "Rusted Ange" (Japanese release) (Limited release edition) (Imported).

Why can we also not have bonus tracks?

the reason why Japanese albums have bonus tracks, is because the CD prices in Japan are excpetionally higher than that of anywhere else, so bands add bonus tracks to srt of even things out.
