If the bill doesn't get at least 3 more brilliant additions I'm not gonna bother with throwing $1500/2000 on the trip over there... I'll go only if one of my hookups is secretly rich and seriously wants sex and there's a sure way I can hide once I'm there.

The only line-up I see on their site for Wacken 2009 is:

Amon Amarth
Axel Rudi Pell
Borknagar
BfmV
Callejon
Cathedral
Dragonforce
Einherjer
Epica
GWAR
Hammerfall
In Extremo
In Flames
Kampfar
Korpiklaani
Machine Head
Motörhead
Napalm Death
Nevermore
Tristania
Volbeat
Walls of Jericho

Confirmed today...

I think they might still be holding out to settle press & guest passes, because they've implied they have a huge headliner that will max out he capacity of the festival in one go...I just wish they would hurry the fuck up, I'm getting antsy!

Kingdom of Sorrow is actually a really good band live, I thought they'd suck shit but I really had a blast when I saw them, Toxic Holocaust and KoS really stole the show!

See I don't know, there is a high possibility it could be AC/DC...but I dunno, the way they posted about it, it sounded like one of those 'one time only' kind of things. You know, like a re-union show or an original members reform kind of thing. Then again Wacken have a way of updating things on their website like its the best thing since sliced bread, so who knows what it could be! There are SO many slots TBA hopefully they'll start doing mass announcements! Most of the european festivals are nearing 20 confirmations already. A lot of people have gone elsewhere this year. I barely know anyone doing Wacken this year. Most people seem to be opting to do Metal Camp. And for the English, Bloodstock has a cracking line up announced already!
