I've been working on a project for quite some while now and I feel it's time to let someone else hear some clips of what I've been doing.
I'd really appreciate if someone gave me some opinions on the sound and structure of this clip.

The guitars are a tad loud. The bassguitar is kind of missing. Theres a tad of annoying "ding" in the snare. Otherwise: crushing

Thanks for the reply dude. Yeah I know the guitars are a bit too loud. I'm a guitarist so I guess all my mixes suffer a bit from that. I've tried to overcompensate, but I've only ended up with the guitars too buried. I'm pretty sure the bass is "there", but it's tuned to drop A so it's pretty hard to make out because of the low tuning. I decided that I wanted the bass to just sit under the rest of the mix and just rumble
I totally agree on the comments on the snare. It's been a bitch to get to sound good. I'll probably change it with another snare with drumagog later.

Try to find the frequency with a REALLY narrow q on an Eq, Boost until the "ding" is loud as hell, the turn it down until it sounds good. On the other hand, a "ding" might be the next cool thing to have?
