Summer of '95 or '96... Testament played some outdoor gigs with Forbidden - definitely a high-point in my history of seeing shows... I made my way down to the dust-bowl in front of the stage and somehow managed to snag picks from Eric (slapped right into my palm - and the reason I use Tortex Sharps to this day. I never would have known about them otherwise...) and moshed my way along the security barrier to the other side of the stage and got one from James Murphy during the same fucking song... again, slapped right into my palm without missing a note.

Now - the reason for my post:

Murphy's pick says Testament on one side like Eric's - but the other side, with his signataure has some extra stuff.

Written really teeny-tiny in the same handwriting as the signature it says,

"Yeah - I got all all that shit, tough guy."


It strikes me as hilarious - just something you wouldn't expect at all. But I've always wondered who or what caused that remark...
