Hey, I was wondering for quite awhile now how Testament originally hooked up with James Murphy. I am a HUGE fan of Murphy and have been since the early nineties. I remember getting the Disincarnate album the day it was released. I remember James saying he was going to do another Disincarnate album very soon, but then out of nowhere he joined Testament to do Low! What a perfect combination. When I heard this news in Metal Maniacs I was going nuts, it just seemed to good to be true. The tour for Low was incredible. I saw the show at the Vic in Chicago and met all the guys out by the tour bus.

So, my two questions are:
1. How did Testament hook up with Murphy?
2. On the Low tour, or any other tour, did Testament play any Disinacarnate songs? I've heard rumors that they played Stench of Paradise Burning and Monarch of the Sleeping Marches.

thanks,

"well james was in disincarnate, obituary, cancer, death....so it's real apparent that LOW was very heavy because he brought his dm influence"

now did he really influence the heavier direction?... or was it peterson...

unimportant questions for everyday life, gotta love em'.

If I remember right, they'd written like 90% of Low before James was involved. Peterson wanted to go in a heavier direction from the start.
