Old Mel Kor

I'm just curious... Does this song title have anything to do with Tolkien's Melkor (aka Morgoth, self-proclaimed lord of the fates of arda?) You don't have to answer if you want to retain your artistic integrity.

Wow this is a freaking awesome version of the song, for some reason the guitars sound more rought and apropriate, especially for the intro.

Indeed Mel Kor was titled in the name of Tolkien's Melkor although his character was taken form a different book... Here in Russia we have our own version of Tolkien's story so to speak written by N. Nekrasova. It is called "The Black Book of Arda" and it shows that Mordor wasn't that bad as it was described in LOTR trilogy. I'd say it was actually much wiser and older place that Gondor.. and the evil lived in elves and people of Gondor...

Another Coloradoan

I think I have this version of the song on the Promo disc that comes with TOMS. Pretty cool stuff. It's a lot rougher and more unrefined, I guess, than the album version. Have you got any other older FS songs in you big ol' bag of tricks, Sonm?

Sonm- That is very interesting! I would be very interested in reading that book. I'll keep an eye out for it. Thanks for the answer...

Its only in russian. I have asked before. I think that we should have Sonm translate for us. Or at least write more of a description (one page would be cool :Spin: ) :hotjump: :hotjump:

Probably wont happen. Oh well.

Holy crap! What city?

This is sooooooooo metal I want to crap my pants!

edit: Definitely come to Colorado guys.

Do it guys. I am working hard on our possible tours and I must admit it's not easy... Just not easy and not easy to combine with doing a Ph.D.

Im in Aurora. We should start like a Forest Stream Colorado fan club or something...hehe...

Most metal, indeed. I'll get to work on a Forest Stream Fan Club, Colorado Division website or something. Perhaps we can get a show in Colorado!

Hey man, if we can't get Forest Stream to come here because of the hard times getting a tour here for not super popular bands, I have a band that would probably be more than willing to play like a Forest Stream tribute show somewhere here if we got maybe some tabs?! That would rock, but of course real Forest Stream would pwn a cover band anyday. Though I have figured out a few riffs from TOMS.

2DeathBlade. I did man:) Thank you for the warning but there is nothing special. It was Berserk's address. That's it:)
