I think your interpretation is really good, but I thought I heard "Towards a greater vision" and then the next line could be "when life will stand to fall", but I'm not sure about that at all.
Then in the next verse, maybe the second line could rather be "a stranglehold on us"? A little like "chokehold" with CoB I guess...ok let's stop talking about Laiho and lyrics in the same sentence now, and especially comparing them with DT...anyway, that stranglehold thing would kind of go with the last line "it's time to turn it off".

I'm really starting to like Character by the way. The lyrics communicate well with the music...and I was looking forward to reading the lyrics anyhow. Glad to see that it is a grower.

Although its funny... I was listening over and over to this song (my fav off the album) and started thinking it was about Reality TV

Well, along with other things, why not? I think that it's by and large about mindless entertainment, which certainly includes reality TV, or about just not using your mind at all and droning on and on, and then you die.
Of course to really start pondering about the meaning it would be essential to know all the lyrics, but the main points don't seem too obscure.

Kovenant: where you say "to be here" i think he says "me" though i'm not sure. i'm pretty bad at figuring out lyrics i guess (especially non-clear vocals )

In addition to the suggestions you guys made, it also seemed to me that the 'decide it' part could be 'desire' - I seem to hear a 't' at the end of the first, but not at the end of the second. All in all, I think 2 lines away from a whole song isn't bad

Probably not, Afflicted. White noise is just another term for background static, most of the time.
