Online Collaborations to create decent covers

What I'm proposing is that we effectively get an "online" band together, (guitars, drums, keyboard, etc) we agree on a number of songs that we would like to cover, record our individual parts, each have a go at mixing, give each other feedback and then decide on which will be the final mix. Personally I would like to cover "The End of Heartache".

Since I came up with idea, dibs on lead vocal duties x
