Miltbrand - Cracow wasn't bombed to the stone age in WW I and II It was Warsaw. An it was during the WW II not WW I. Germans bombed first Ghetto (in 1943) during/and after revolt in Warsaw Ghetto ....and they bombed Warsaw second time during/and after Warsaw Revolt in 1944. After this....Warsaw urban structure stopped exist.

I do know about Warsaw! I´m not a (very big) idiot...

But I also do know that both the German/Austro-Hungarian and the Russian armies launched major offensives in the Cracow area in 1915-17, and that the Germans made Cracow into a fortress city and was isolated by the Russians until it was captured in january 1945!
So that´s why I assumed that Cracow got battered...

What´s the name of that old hotel (I think) that the British used for HQ in Israel and the Israeli terorists (or freedom fighters if you like) bombed back then?
And wasn´t there a future president or something that took part in that bombing?

This hotel was demolished after the Irgun reported the britts of the forthcoming blast. I think one brittish soldier died here.
If this is what you call "terror", I wish all terrorists were brained like Begin and the Etzel (irgun).
You dont see terrorists report the buslines here of the terrorists coming over in advanced, and you dotn see you focusing on military targets.
This is also not a step of fight for freedom. Its a normal tactical step to drive the britts out, and as we all know - it worked just fine.

A terrorist attack is still as terrorist attack even if it´s announced beforehand! Or would you not call the IRA or ETA terrorists?



btw: A little more than 1 brit died

a total of 91 killed and 45 injured. Among the casualties were 15 Jews.
