Operation Mindcrime

Well, what do you expect from an album that came out in 1990!

Bob Dylan's "Highway 61 revisited" came out 41 years ago and with updated production, it could come out today and I wouldn't notice THAT much of a difference, same with Faith No More's "Angel Dust" or King Crimson's "In The Court of the Crimson King". With "Empire" almost anyone can pinpoint the era it came out in.

"Angel Dust" sounds old as hell. "Empire" came a year or two later. The other two albums that you mention were made in the 60's - when vinyl was king. Recordings that were pressed to vinyl have frequency limitations in the low end of the spectrum (ie, no bass) because the cutting lathes will skip below 150Hz or thereabouts. There are companies out there still trying to figure out ways to reproduce low freqs on vinyl. See there, you never know when you might learn something.

I would call it a revolutionary album for metal.Seen them live, they were great, they played OM+OM2+Empire+Jet City Woman.though OM2 isn't exactly a good album in my opinion.

Yeah, I guess he did. But I don't agree, regardless. I bet the band doesn't agree, either.
