Why wuld Opeth want to go to China? The Chinese people are all very friendly, but the government is just...not cool. And Tokyo is nothing like China. You'd be surprised at how huge of a culture shift it is from Shanghai to Tokyo. When I went to China, we had a soldier following us around the whole time. Not a very pleasant escort. Althogh we taught him some english and swedish curse words!
