Opeth, Nevermore, and Fireball Ministry show tonight.

As for Dane's voice being shot, that's totally understandable given his drunken exploits, less so considering that he sounds just fine on TGE, but of course onstage there's no tools to cover up the weaknesses.
I'm not sure that it's shot. Even with a cold, he sounded relatively strong last night, and on Gigantour, I thought he sounded great.

There's a difference between bands that are hard to get into and those that just suck.
I can appreciate not liking their sound, but saying they suck is a bit silly. Whethere you like them or not, they still feature one of the best (if not the best) guitar players in Metal today. The drumming is fantastic, the lyrics are thought provoking and their sound, if nothing else, is fairly original.

By the way, good show last night. Dane mentioned he had a cold, but he did a nice job. Not his best performance, but solid. His energy level was noticably low. He nailed the high parts at the end of "River Dragon". Loomis was Loomis. Van and Jim were flawless, as always. Smyth is very solid, though I preferred Murphy's stage presence. Set list was typical (in no order):

Born
Bittersweet Feast
Final Product
Acid Words
River Dragon
Enemies of Reality
Never Purify
This Godless Endeavor

Personally, I'd prefer they lose "Never Purify" in favor of anything off of "Dreaming" or some of the stronger tracks "Dead heart" or "Politics".

Replace "Never Purify" with "The Seven Tounges of God" and "Enemies of Reality" with "Sanity Assasin."
They had been doing "Seven Tongues" as part of their set on this tour. Not sure if they had to cut it short because of time constraints or Warrell's well being. I'm going to see them again on Thursday. Hopefully, they'll add it to the set for that show.

Yea it is my favorite song by them as well, but realistically, I doubt I'll ever get to hear it live. Seven Tounges I am really hoping for though.

Cool! But how was Into Eternity? :loco:

Damn, just realized there's nothing from DNB in any of the setlists, which otherwise I have no issue with, especially if I get to hear Seven Tongues and Godless...
Yeah... strange. For me, it's their finest work. I'd love to hear almost anything from that disc, especially "Fault of the Flesh". That track features the most crushing riff I've ever heard.

By the way, Mikael has a career in stand-up comedy of he wants one. He's very funny.
guh...

on wacken when he sang for bloodbath, the audience was like "BLOOD-BATH! BLOOD-BATH! BLOOD-BATH!" or something and he was like "uuu did i hear 'OPETH'??!"

and i was like "no you dumb cunt you didn't " except i only thought that :)
