Opeth playing in UK???

I believe the dude is pulling your proverbial leg. Read Question 17 and the answer here. You see?? Besides, they haven't come to Rock  City before, totally skipped it last time :bah:.

Still, there's no harm in me checking, just in case...

EDIT: Yep indeedy, the Rock  City website gig guide has no mention of it. :)

Hmm... maybe I'll keep a look out then. I pass it every day when I go to uni.

Hey, don't you find it disturbing to live in Derby??

Enough to be moving to Nottingham in 2 weeks \m/

>>how have you bought a ticket to a gig that isnt confirmed yet?

Rock City sell tickets to all their club nights & that week is the BBC music in the city thing, there's bands on every day including QotSA, BRMC, DJ Shadow, and hopefully opeth (that night is the Mary Ann Hobbes, presenter of the Rock show's night)

   People from Derby have an alarming fondness for sheep. So, whereabouts are you moving to??

Aha, but I'm not /from/ Derby, heh, I just moved here to work so sheep hold no interest to me :D

I'm moving to New Basford - too late for the goose fair tho, so I've missed out on the strange Midlandish mushypeafest, but I am sick of travelling 15 miles for nights out.

Yeh I know you're not from Derby, I just wondered if any locals tried to get you interested :s :erk:.

Goose Fair is crap, Ilko Fair is much better. I live in Toton, by the way, if you know where that is (between Stapleford, Beeston, and Long Eaton).

Wow, I didn't know it was that Ripley, I thought it must be somewhere "daan saaf". I didn't know there was anything like that in Ripley. :dopey:

According to the site Mikael will be finishing off 'Damnation' in October at Steve Wilson's No-Man's Land Studio, which is actually in Hemel Hempstead (I think, although I'm pretty sure). Also Porcupine Tree start their US Tour on October 27th, so I can't see Mr's Wilson & Akerfeldt recording anything too close to that.

Although, it would be nice to seen them in Nottingham. I have a friend up there, so I would definately travel and I know she'd like to see them :)
