Opeth - short sets again?

Is this US tour with Dream Theatre going to be another gay 4 - 5 song set list, or even less than that? Why even go on tour with Dream Theatre anyway I think they suck. I don't see any reason to even go if Opeth's not going to play a full length "Headliner" set list, cause it's gonna be . . . .

1. New Song
2. Windowpane
3.Drapery Falls
4. Demon of the Fall

and that would suck

I really hope not.. I like Dream Theater but not anywhere near as much as Opeth. I read somewhere that there playing for an hour which I guess isnt all that bad... still not that great tho =/

Portnoy confirmed that Opeth will have a 60 minute set. The first disc of The Roundhouse Tapes is about 60 minutes as well, which was 6 songs. That's not bad considering the nonsensically short sets they had during Gigantour 2006. Depending on the songs they play, they may be able to squeeze more into the set.

Besides, this tour is just another opportunity for Opeth to gain exposure, especially since they'll be touring with Dream Theater.

I saw Opeth during the Sounds of the Underground tour, only 3 songs, which was probably much like the Gigantour, so yeah that sucks, even 6 songs isn't enough. And if this is an "EXPOSURE GIG" then Opeth WILL MORE THAN LIKELY play those more popular "Catchy" songs, if that's even a word to put with Opeth, probably not, but you know what I mean, it's just gonna be DEMON, Deliverance, Drapery Falls, and so on, songs I've all heard live everytime I've seen them, so . . . .

I'd prefer a longer set too, but it's not bad considering the sets they've had in the past.

And I seriously doubt that Opeth are going to cater to new listeners by playing their catchiest tunes. They always seem to throw in a little variety into each set whenever they're playing more than 2 or 3 songs, and I don't expect anything different this time around.

Hell ask someone from Arizona/Nevada/Texas/Colorado/Kansas if they would like to see this tour. Personally I am PO's they are skipping the southwest part of the US, while they play 3 shows in NY, 3 in Florida, two in Alberta, Canada, and two in Ohio.

Hopefully Opeth recognizes this and they play for a lot of fans that are missing out on this tour when they come around again in the Fall of 08'.
