While these are definitely the two BEST songs on Still Life (and I nearly like them equally), my vote must be cast upon Godhead's Lament.

I agree...the clean vocal passage along with the acoustic guitar is beyond impressive. Like fuck, the whole passage beginning at 2:55 all the way to 6:50 I will tell you, is pure GENIUS! 3:44 especially is truly, really remarkable. The song just flows so perfectly...nothing detracts from it.

Hmm...do people like The Moor better just because it is longer? Just a thought....

note: To Guardian of Darkness; I'm wondering something...at the end of this, how is it going to work? I'm hoping you place the winner of each ALBUM survivor together for one epic battle, which will be 7 songs.....

I can see why people love it so much, I personally don't. Same with White Cluster. In fact The Moor and Moonlapse Vertigo are the only songs off Still Life that I really love.

I*m starting to see a pattern in you posts

nothing better than the
thought i could not leave this place on this imminent day
as i've reached the final dawn to whats gone astray
what would they care if i did stay
no one would know
what would they care if i did stay
no one should know

Episode 666, what's the pattern? :D

Well i see a distinct pattern, where you just like 3-4 songs of each album, and then say you can't get 1-2 to click.. .:) 3 or 4 threads now i think i 've read it in... :)

Orchid (You didn't like The Apostle and Twilight)
Blackwater (Funeral Portrait)
Still life (White Cluster, Godheads Lament)
Deliverence (For absent Friends)
My Arms you hearse (Karma)

Call me paranoid

No offense of course! :p

 @ Moonlapse's post. My point exactly. ;) For Absent Friends isn't really a song so yeah.

Btw, I'm ashamed of this, but for MAYH, it's not Karma that I can't get into. I like that song, it's not great, but it's good. It's When that hasn't clicked yet... :( I LOVE the last four minutes, from "And I crieeed" and the rest, but up to that the song bores me.

Godhead's Lament gets my vote.

Also, my favorite part on MAYH starts with: "A morning in magenta..." right up until: "...about the beauty of its prologue." The song When happens to be one of the highlights in between.

I voted godhead's simply because I love the song. Its amazing both live and on the album. I like the moor, but it just takes too long to get into , while godhead's is right there in your face from beginning to end and never getting bored
