Hey,

I've been reading in this forum for a while and still finding a lot of useful infos on mixing and recording.

About 2 Years ago I started recording some idead with a friend and after a while I made very small progress in Mixing and Recording.

Now that I know a very few basics after some practice I am sure I should do some treatments to the Room where I mix stuff and where we record the ideas.

Maybe someone can give me some tips where to start. There are so many possibilities to place some kind of absorbers and Bass Traps.

Here is an older Picture of my Listening Place:

Hopefully it can be viewed. If needed I can make more photos so somebody can give me advice. I don't really have "corners" cause my room is kind of chaotic ;-)

Today I need some time to respond cause I am off to work.

Edit: Crap I just saw that is a very old Photo. The Monitors are now standing on stands so they're are not touching the Desk anymore and are a very bit more off to the wall. If anybody is willing to help I will do some fresh shots.

So here I have some photos of my room:
I created an album on imgur. Don't know how you normally post photos.

The Order is clockwise. First photo is only a shot on the place I sit.
Hopefully you can give me some suggestions on how to achieve the best sound for monitoring and mixing.
The Wainscot on the Ceiling is Wood.
The Big Windows aren't always uncovered. A lot of the time I got my silver screen down.

Any tips on what steps to go to optimize the Listening environment would be great.
