Orchestral cinematic stuff (EWQL, Edirol HQ, 8505 etc.)

An old clip i made a wihle back. Never was satisfied with guitar sound, so i recorded new DI-tracks unfortunately with stock pickups. But it´s getting better. Problem is to fix the guitar sound in this mighty thunderous stuff
What do you guys think so far. Mixed trough headphones and not mastered yet.

Honestly, the guitars don't do it justice.

The horns and percussion is thunderous though

I'm pretty certain I've heard that piano bit in your intro before on some movie soundtrack, can't remember which though.

I agree with Necromancer about the guitars.

The orchestral percussion you use don't sound that cinematic big. They usually process the orchestral drums, blend them with other kinds of drums and get some really thunderous bass drum sound. I know there're some samples on the market that can do the exact same job. Do you use samples like Stormdrum etc?
