I have a ton of, 'favorite,' lyrics....but this may be one of the PERFECT metal songs, lyrically speaking. The words are archetypal, the thoughts are all succinct....it's just so damned great. Had it on last night, and was reminded how great it was, and is:

I am the one, orgasmatron, the outstretched grasping hand
My image is of agony, my servants rape the land
Obsequious and arrogant, clandestine and vain
Two thousand years of misery, of torture in my name
Hypocrisy made paramount, paranoia the law
My name is called religion, sadistic, sacred whore.

I twist the truth, I rule the world, my crown is called deceit
I am the emperor of lies, you grovel at my feet
I rob you and I slaughter you, your downfall is my gain
And still you play the sycophant and revel in you pain
And all my promises are lies, all my love is hate
I am the politician, and I decide your fate

I march before a martyred world, an army for the fight
I speak of great heroic days, of victory and might
I hold a banner drenched in blood, I urge you to be brave
I lead you to your destiny, I lead you to your grave
Your bones will build my palaces, your eyes will stud my crown
For I am mars, the God of war, and I will cut you down.

I have that album... I think it's my favorite Motorhead album by far and your right the lyrics kick ass :kickass: ... Was also the first Motorhead album I ever bought so I could be biased... I think what got me to buy it was either the cover artwork or that i heard Deaf Forever on a episode of 21 Jump Street back in the 80's...

Nailed perfectly. The second Motorhead album I bought (used vinyl), love the song from the first time I heard it. Awsome lyrics and heavy as heavy can be. Still the best song Sepultura has ever played

Marauder - 'Try To Live'

Love it too, this belongs on the classic sonsg thread...

Yeah, I was looking for that thread....because I've kinda been thinkin' on it since you posted it....but I couldn't find it. Am I losing my mind?

Anyway, Orgasmatron was my first Motorhead too. I then went and got the older stuff....been a fan ever since. I was a bit underwhelmed when Rock and Roll came out, having been so into Orgasmatron....but that's Motorhead for ya. All the albums are good, but some are classics. Same thing with the recent Inferno/Kiss of Death albums. Inferno was MASSIVE...but Kiss of Death needs a few more strong tracks.

It's hard for me to pick a favorite, but it would be one of these:
Orgasmatron
Inferno (...with In the Name of Tragedy being a top 5 Motor-track for sure)
Ace of Spades
Overkill
or maybe...
No Sleep Till Hammersmith
Another Perfect Day is up there too

to hard to say....

Orgasmatron is definetly my favorite but i also liked 1916. It has a nice ballad and show's Lemmy's soft side. It also reminded me of the book All is Quiet on the Western Front.

I think I have said this before I bought Orgasmatron and Rock n' Roll on the same day making them my first and second Motorhead albums and have been a fans since...

I bought "Rock'N'Roll" first (new vinyl) and then (weeks or months can't recall) "Orgasmatron" (used vinyl).

I like more RNR up to this day than "Orgasmatron", couldn't understand why people won't like it. It was Philty return, the songs are aggresive, heavy and fun :headbang:

Come on baby, eat the rich,
Put the bite on the son of a bitch,
Don't mess around, don't give me no switch,
C'mon baby eat the rich
C'mon baby eat the rich

NP: Freedom Call - 'Mr Evil'

I dunno, I expected more from RnR but felt it didnt completely deliver however I did have the backpatch on my denim jacket for quite sometime. I think Orgazmatron was just more solid (start to finnish) and a tad more uptempo all round.

I actually prefer the earlier "classic" Fast Eddie era stuff like Bomber, Overkill, Ace of Spades, Iron Fist(all-time fave):headbang: , No Sleep..., etc. But Orgasmatron is excellent! The best of the "modern" era Motorhead I think.:kickass:

Lemmy is the true King of Rock n' Roll. Been listening to MotorHead since Ace of Spades was released, although a missed a few albums over the years. Orgasmatron is one of Lemmy's best lyrics. I always liked Killed by Death for opposite reasons.
