Orgone Mastering Grand re opening

Looks great man. I just had some questions on your acoustic treatment if you wouldn't mind sharing. How thick are the side panels in comparison to the corner traps? Also is spacing out the side panels more effective than going all the way across at ear level?

How do you like the Barefoot’s? I'm about to pull the trigger on those based on the overwhelming response they’ve got all over the internet.

Are those Barefoots? Not cheap.....

Hey Glenn, Yes they are. Not cheap in the UK either. Don't regret the loan one bit so far though.

I got mine in April and I hate to admit that they do live up to the hype. It really isn't because I own a pair, I find they make my job easier and better and I feel a little more relaxed every time something leaves the suite as they do translate very well. Great for tracking and mixing too. They are HEAVY. Really heavy :)

Hey

The panels are about 4 inches thick, they are packed with dense rock wool slabs.

The acoustics here a bit "interesting" but I really like the way the room sounds. It's very balanced.

The entire front wall and the ceiling have inside out walls packed with rock wool. Then half the room is carpeted (thick carpet), half is wood floor. Then there are the panels along the walls and the sofa at the back and finally the back wall which most of is made of small glass blocks - each on of them at a different depth, so it works as a big diffuser.

However, it's not all perfect yet. At the listening position (about 2.5 meters away from the monitors) everything is pretty good, but at the back of the room still got a bit more bass, so will need to bass trap a bit more.

RE spacing of panels: I don't want the suite to sound too much like a control room. What works best for me is somewhere in between a contorl room and a living room.

Looks pretty damn cool dude. Do you only do mastering or if someone pays, could they come there and record tracks there?

Also, where in Camden is this?
