Hi guys! I'd like to know what you guys recomend for orquestral sample libraries/plugins. I'm wanting to do some orquestral arrangements and the Reason samples don't quite cut (especially the brass section).

Thanks a bunch!

If you like hollywwod style sound, EW Quantum Leap Orcherstra is a nice piece.
Other than that, the up coming Vienna Symphonic Library Orchestral Cube seems to be good.

If you have the cash, time, and RAM, go for east west gold.. i have it, and it's the best i have heard so far..

However, i do use edirol a bit more for now on my songs.. i just love how easy it works, it uses way less RAM, and almost sound just as good..

gold sounds better, edirol works better..

Garritan is awesome especially for the price. I know a bunch of film composers who use it.

I guess technically it's not a sample library though...

The best in the lower price range would be either EastWest Quantum Leap Symphony Orchestra or Garritan Personal Orchestra. EWQLSO has better ensemble patches and interface, but GPO has the best solo instruments. However, you really can't go wrong either way. The upgrade path to Gold and Platinum may make EWQLSO Silver the best value though.
Of course VSL is tops, if you've got a few grand and a few spare hard drives.
