Since most of the dwellers of this den of iniquity are from USA, I guess is fair to congratulate them on this day.

I live the best years of my life in USA and I have a deep appreciation for the place and the people, so:

Don't feel bad, I worked too. 3-11:30pm. I did take a smoke break and go up to the 5th level of the parking garage and watch the surrounding communities' displays. It's just not the same without being there, beer in hand, and many more in gut..

As an American.... I honestly appreciate that very much. Very few Americans know any holidays from other countries unless it is celebrated in America as well. I don't feel like I am better than any other person because he/she is from a certain country.
However, there are good and bad people everywhere. Unfortunately, there are many "bad" people in America.... I don't mean crime and that type of thing, but more along the line of "The American Dream." I have some immediate family that has one hobby........ making money. Americans love to impress others as opposed to making themselves truly happy. Other than the love of your offspring, there is no love greater than the love of yourself. That doesn't mean thinking you are better than others, but rather that you are comfortable with who you are as a person.......... not with what goods you own.
I take pride in trying to be a good father, husband and friend. My possessions are secondary. I am proud of my guitars, my tractor etc. but I am more proud of my family, my health and my mentality to keep the important things in life ahead of those that really mean very little.
When I die, I can take no possessions with me, but I can leave a legacy of caring, understanding and intelligence to my children and their children to come. I hope by that I can keep America strong !!
