OT: "household remedies" to fight a cold??

Well if you're the vocalist, you can load yourself up on a few shots of Vodka or Bourbon, which will loosen your throat up for an odd 30 mins or so, after which it'll totally close up and be unuseable. Guess that approach depends on how long your set is.

Make a nice chicken soup to yourself and drink it warm. Also if you have a fever, the only prescription is not cowbell but tissues soaked in cold water. Put them on your head, and the parts of your body that hurt. Again if you have a fewer lay down for a couple of hours under a couple of blankets and once you get really sweaty change your shit and get under those blankets again. Repeat until you feel better.

And then just fucking THRASH it up!

nice hot brew of of honey, lemon, and Jack Daniels

just enough will clear you up and you'll be fine for an hour or two.... too much and you won't care anyway.. it's a win-win situation.

Hi James. Please gimme the exact formula of that brew. :loco:
You don't think I'm totaly pissed afterwards? :tickled:

Hey Frankie!

The best thing you can do is taking Wick Day-Med!!!

I guess you know what i'm talking about!
That Stuff worked very well for me although it's not really an "Hausmittel"
Take 2 capsules and your fit for the rest of the night!

Good luck for your gig tonight!

So what did you do?

I agree with fabz. My untimely advice is to wash a couple DayQuil down with a beer or three. Do you guys have DayQuil over there, anyway?

It's the daytime sniffling, sneezing, coughing, aching, stuffy head, fever so you can rock medicine.

Wick Day-Med sounds like pretty much the same thing.

Morning lads

Thank's to all for your suggestions. I really love this forum. Help in all situations. :worship: :worship: :worship: :worship:

Seems that I'd survived the show. I've lost my voice though, but hey that's rock'n roll!!

@Fabz: Fuckin' good advice with the Wick Day-Med. Makes your Head cleen for about 3-4 hours.

Seriously, you need to warm up your voice before a show so you don't loose it afterward....what if you had another gig the next day?

Drink that warm tea, lemon, honey, whiskey ting and warm up for about 40min. Not growling, just silly children songs. Start at a low note and sing it like ten times, then rise a half note, ten moore times and so on.. This will get your "engine" started. Also remenber to warm your voice down after the gig. 20 mins of so.
