OT: Killer movies?

The thread about the forgotten and the village made me think about movies that just kicked some ass. I'm not *necissarily* talking recent movies or confining it to one genre, so what are some favorite all time movies?

Arlington Road - Jeff Bridges and Tim Robbins make a sweet duo on this movie. Pretty crazy stuff.

Jacob's Ladder - Mindfuck. No other way to describe it. Again, Tim Robbins kicks ass in this film

American Beauty - Just a good observation on how normal means nothing. And kevin spacey rocks.

I'll think of more later.

I hated Requiem for a Dream...gorgeous film...horribly depressing and excruciating to watch. And to think the person who made me watch it was a druggie themselves

I like it when the chick is on the ground, he kicks the SOLE OF HER SHOE, and she goes flying back against a tree! Awesome
