Friend of me asked to join him for a concert of "Over the Rainbow", basically Rainbow with 3 original members (JL Turner, Rondinello & Smith) and Ritchie Blackmore's son JR Blackmore on guitars. Anyone heard or seen this band? Seems a solid line up and I'm curious to see them live.

Don't miss the show, carnut! I saw them last October, when they played in Athens and they were great! Think also that you won't have again the chance to listen live "Stargazer" or "Gates of Babylon" (to name a few) by original Rainbow members, so...

JL Turner did a very good job with these Dio anthems, along with those has recorded himself. And Ritchie's son looks a lot like him (!) and he is a good guitar player.

Orfanos is right. Don't miss the show. I saw them play and I loved them though I really don't know who they are at first. their music is somewhat classical, which are good for people who want meaning in their music.

Saw about five songs worth of them last summer, they were alright. Still can't help but think of them as little more than a cover band, none of these guys had anything to do with the Rainbow albums that really kicked ass. Songs like Stargazer just aren't the same without RJD and daddy-Blackmore.

Joe Lynn Turner is still in great vocal shape, that much I have to admit!

I disagree a little with Orfanos and Blake20. Joe Lynn Turner singing their songs is amazing. With "Stranger in us all" tunes too. I even accept him with Graham Bonnet´s "Since you´ve been gone". But with DIO years, come on! It´s ridiculous. Joe Lynn is a melodic hard rock singers. His voice has nothing to do with Ronnie. I consider they shouldn´t do songs from first 3 albums but I guess it´s impossible.

Jurgen Blackmore has 0 charisma and 0 stage presence but it´s OK playing guitar.

Show was yesterday and it was good indeed.
It was a small venue and atmosphere was great.
JR Blackmore plays okay, puts on a "dad's" face
sometimes and looks quit alike. Marco is right though
he doesn't have much stage presence...Unlike JL Turner
and bassplayer Smith, they really enjoyed themself alot!
I heard no big problems in the vocals for different songs...
Anyway,if they come near you go and see them, it's
worth the money !
