Overated "Favourites"

With me it would be Of Sins and Shadows, Evolution.

I think it's about time Symphony X started closing with a song other than Of Sins and Shadows.

I think I'm one of the only people out there that think "Candelight Fantasia" and "Communion and the Oracle" are the two best things that Symphony X has ever done...

I just love their slow style SOOOOOOO much more than their heavy style...

You are not the only one, My favorite in TDWOT is Candelight and in V: Communion. In fact Communion could it be the best song they have composed, technically speaking is an amazing work.

To me Communion is their worst song. It just doesnt sound right to me and is just boring to hear. That is the only Symphony X song that i cannot listen to

If we're talking about slower/more-emotion SX songs, don't forget about The Edge Of Forever. One of my fav Symph songs.

people will kill me for this, but I always thought, at least live anyway, that Egypt/Death of Balance drags down the set. Id much rather hear something like Through the Looking Glass.

Through the Looking Glass is an awesome song! It's the best off of TIO, I think. But I have to say that even though I really love the slow songs like Egypt, Accoclade, and Communion, I really dig the heavier stuff much more. That riff in Inferno just kills me!!

Yeah, I still love the heavier stuff, but slow emotional stuff just gets to me sometimes. Oh, and I forgot their other slow masterpiece, "The Lady of the Snow"...

There isn't really anything that I like that other people don't. And Of Sins and Shadows rules! My favorite Romeo/Pinella duel ever, the chorus is great, especially when the backing vocals do it. I love just about everything about this song. :zombie:

I like SXs ballads lesse than their heavier songs, especially 'Lady of the Snow' doesn´t do much for me...

Dude, I thought I was the only one. I think the only real cool part on that song is the choir part. Other than that, its a real boring song.

The main riff doesent do much for me either.

But I like the Turning even though is very simmlar. (dont tell me, I know Mike L. says it sounds like Sea of Lies in the booklet)

I'm not that into the album entitled "Divine Wings of Tragedy". Not that it's bad, the songs are great, but I dislike the the production. All those songs are better live.

I dont understand, What type of production do you want?? MTV production??. The album is great, i think the only songs that sound better live are Candelight Fantasia and TDWOT.
