Overhead Microphones

Hi,

Im about to invest/build my studio and i would like some advice...
Which microphones do you prefer for OH??

Im thinking about the Oktava mk 012 (400eruo) and the
Shure k141(1000eruo) .

Any inputs?? Suggestions. Money isnt an issue (kinda )

Buy the modded oktavas from oktavamod.com.

If money really isn't an issue - Neumann Km184

Are you hobyisyt or pro? if the latter, get the neumann KM184, even if it might not be the best microphone. Than neumann name unfortunatly means a lot, as well as it being a top quality mic which will last a long time.

Or get the Octovamods, the feedback they always get is superb.

Ok, well im starting up a PRO business. And I will not get the Neumann's from what ive heard they are not near as good as the old 84's where.

Gonna check the modded oktavas out.

They aren't the same thing as the neumann km84's, its a completely different sound, apparently much brighter. They are still very good mics.
