Overheads popping/crackling after crossfade...

Hi,

Just looking for some help regarding drum editing in pro tools. The problem I am having is this, after replacing the snare and toms with samples I have been adding crossfades between the edited parts on the hi hat and overhead tracks. No matter how big or small the crossfade is, SOMETIMES I still get a small pop out of the section. Or it just tends to sound a little strange. If you are editing drums are you always going to encounter this one way or another? Or am I missing out something in the process of editing that is causing this to happen?

What your details as far as Protools version and what computer and operating system?

You're probably moving the transients too far away from the original spot... when you crossfade after this you might be getting some of the original transient with the edited transient.

This seems more logical, I don't think it's a computer error...
