Im going Friday night to a place down here called the LAUNCHPAD, a nice little club with a bar over looking the stage thats only about 12 feet from the stage , perfect view and you can sit down if you get there early. I will be early.

I was SO DRUNK at Overkill in april. When they played Blood and Iron, I went fucking nuts. Then when they played old school, me and 6 kids I never met in my life did a fucking kick line singing along with it.
i saw em a few months ago. one of the best shows ive been to in a while bobbys voice is still at top knotch even thoughhe still smokes like crazy

Some random notes:
-The new drummer fucking rocks. Some really impressive shit on Wrecking Crew and Thanx For Nothin.
-Two groupies who mighta been hot if they weren't so fucking fake-looking and obviously knew nothing about metal showed up and were like "We think the band needs some girls in the front." Then like 10 seconds into "Within Your Eyes" they ran away screaming.
-Nice Day... RULES ME. One of my favorite Overkill songs, I don't think they've ever played it live before this latest round of touring and it fucking slays.
-Blitz is the greatest frontman in metal. That "oh shit it's time to sing better rush onstage real quick!" trick is awesome. And I submit to you these quotes.
Bobby: "I got kicked out of a Motörhead show before I ever joined Overkill. That's how metal I am."
Bobby: (eight songs in) "Thank you, goodnight. ...what? I already got paid, I'm getting the fuck outta here. Hell with you. '...you fucking cunt.'"
Bobby: "We got a new album out, you can get online and download it...wait a second, Lars ain't in the building, is he?" *looks around*
Bobby: "WE DON'T CARE WHAT YOU SAY-"

-I talked to Blitz a bit after the show, he recognized me from the message boards. I kinda fanboy'd out. >< Awesome guy, though, I was gonna stick around and bother the band but I had to bail if I wanted to avoid paying for a taxi. Oh well, he said they'd be back soon. I'M HOLDING THEM TO IT.

I had tickets that I bought for $12 bucks from the lead singer of Anger is Art. Being the superb cunt that I am, I decided not to go to the show on tuesday. Mainly because the Galaxy enforces a 2 drink minimum policy, and gas prices are too damn expensive for a 60 mile trek down interstate 5. Yep...I'm a twat.
