Oversized Jacks

Hi,

I'm making some speaker cables and i was wondering where i can find some decent jacks.

I used to have some speaker cables with these big knarly connectors on them. I dont know if it made it sound any better but it did make a satisfying "clunk" sound when i plugged them in.

I can't find any like this anywhere. Also- i assume that the jacks for speaker and regular cable are the same?

Nah, not speakon. Speakon is (i think) a different shaped jack?

It was a 1/4 inch- just the surround to the actual plug bit was hefty.
