I found out about these guys at Stonerrock.com; a NWOBHM band that went nowhere at the time. I got one of their CDs a few days ago, and wow! It's really fantastic. Highly recommended. Kind of a mix between Sabbath/really old Mercyful Fate, Witchfinder General....and a few very original elements. The singer is kind of like Bon Scott on top of all that, but it works. Check 'em out, you'll be glad you did. I know I'm always looking for that lost NWOBHM band that I just never heard about, and this band fits the bill to the tee. Never heard 'em before, but they pretty much own.

You can listen to an MP3 through www.stonerrock.com
Or download a song form their site. Cool stuff.

Those of you that check this out, and are into NWOBHM are gonna love this.

Maybe it's blasphemy but I don't dig Pagan Altar at all. Not as a doom band, nor as a band with NWoBHM influences. The vocalist is truly horrific, he's like a dog weeping in the night. No, this isn't like Witchfinder General imo. They (Witchfinder) know how to balance, this is just metal but slowed down by 100%. But well, I know quite some people who actually like Pagan Altar. Maybe it's just me being a Saint Vitus and Pagan Altar disliker! If you're not yet familiar with St Vitus, try that out too..

Yeah, I know St. Vitus (and Wino's 50 other bands). Anyway, I hear ya, it's your thang or it ain't. Still, it definately encapsulates the whole NWOBHM thing to me pretty well, right down to the somewhat (but not altogether) questionable productions. Good stuff.
