Seriously, it's artistically brilliant, triumphant and in-your face, poetic and romantic and beautiful, really brutal at times, makes the argument for beauty and evil working well in combination, and the entire thing is basically justifying Satan's revolt against Heaven and humanizing a dude who used to just be a concept before that. Agreed?

in no time you'll be shouting,

LIGHTNING BOLT!
LIGHTNING BOLT!
LIGHTNING BOLT!
LIGHTNING BOLT!
LIGHTNING BOLT!
LIGHTNING BOLT!
LIGHTNING BOLT!

get your beanbags ready.

i can see your angle here. but there are some novels that could be considered to be of equal metal-ness. i wish robina were here she could argue the metal-ness of faulkner.
