This will bw my 3rd PP but it looks like I will be driving and getting in at the last minute on Fri. Can you park at center stage or any other thoughts?

Last year I parked for free all 4 days at the Trump parking lot. It was awesome. Usually I parked below the center stage which is very convenient. There are a lot of places that you can find for 5 to 10 bucks and if you are lucky you can find a spot on the street a few blocks away.

If you are staying at the local hotels (mainly meaning the RI on 17th), it'll be cheaper to park over at Atlantic Station ($14 self-park). You also have the option of a few MARTA lots, as well as one of the parking garages on P'tree that's open on weekends with no attendant. The average is going to be $10, street parking is available in the neighborhoods behind the RI, but please pay attention to the parking signs and use the appropriate area. They do police those areas and the residents are highly picky. I think the building on 18th (as you are going past the venue on W. P'tree) has parking for around $5, but it is a small deck.

If I recall correctly, from my recent drive past, it's gone (blocked off). They may open it up, but I am not sure.

Go past Center Stage and turn left on to 18th St. There's a parking garage under the law school that is a 3 minute walk from the venue. It's convienient and a lot less than the venue parking. Credit Card required.

With the fest quickly approaching, I thought folks may appreciate more info about parking at Atlanta's John Marshall Law School parking deck. Here's a link w/ map: http://www.johnmarshall.edu/about/location.php

Also, over the past year, I've copied/pasted parking tidbits I've come across within the facebook discussions tab: https://www.facebook.com/topic.php?topic=12989&post=56975&uid=88398722942#post56975

Since these threads are from, like, 2007-2009 it might be good to use updated material. The geography of atlanta lends itself quite well to walking or using public trans. Don't worry, EVERYONE will be on foot. Park your car at your hotel and leave it there. We are staying at the Residence Inn, and expect to get wallet-raped by the parking fees, but at least the car is safe and out of the weather.

Or, you can go alternative and use the Marta parking facilities. For 5-8 bucks a day your car will be behind a fence at least: http://www.examiner.com/public-transportation-in-atlanta/marta-long-term-parking

Just in case you didn't notice :) the parking info within my post directly above yours is indeed up to date.
