Parkway Drive set to record with the guy that did...The Melvins?

just posting because I know everyone agrees this band has worked hard right?
The thing that helped make these guys was that them and I Killed The Prom Queen where kind of the first bands in Australia to mix the melodic metal stylings with hardcore and actually made a name out of it.
I don't beleive we orginally had much of this in aus until these guys decided to start doing it and then and still now we are getting overwhelmed with parkway wannabee's so if anything they set the trend in australia not jump the bandwagon. than because of their size and hype around here. its just slowly spilled over to the rest fo the world.
if pwd was on sony bmg years ago im sure they would of had a bigger name in the states and worldwide before you heard the rest of the metalcore stuff that sounds similar.

I have about 200gB music on my macbook pro, because I put the cd´s in the drive and start itunes. Then I put that music on my Ipod.
I also download music from itunes of acts which arent available in germany (for example counterparts)

Any one agree that the 2nd PWD album the snare was ridiculously too loud? lol. Other than that it sounded great. The music had some catchy riffs but IMO was very generic.

Joe Baresi is a big name. I think guys like that are certainly capable of diversifying enough to get something that sounds good, even if it may not be what you traditionally expect from metal.
all that really matters is they write music that they like(i'm assuming), kids like it, it sells, and kids come out to shows. That's why they made it out of Australia where many others have failed.
Alot of you guys are obviously not their demographic, so they will never appeal to you, no matter what they do.

I've got music all over the place, man.
Most of it comes from physical CDs that I've ripped onto my computer.
A lot of it comes from iTunes.
EDIT: Also just realized that when I clicked the "properties" on my music folder to display the amount of space used, I was also including all my recording session files. -_____- So, i'd say that I have about 250 GB of actual music. 150 of that is WAVs.
And regarding my list.. That is exactly my point.
Just because you don't like that music, you just HAD to point out that it was the "shittiest taste you've seen in a long time."

I think it's just easy to luMp everyone in the same group when there is such shut stains going around, and let's not be naive, there's a lot of fucking trash around being passed into our hands as new and awesome, whennits the same generic crap that will never amount to the bands they copy!

Ryan laying the uber-smackdown FTW. I know their album by Adam D was widely accepted, but I'm excited to hear how a new producer/engineer will change their sound. Hell, it's still the same band. If the tunes are good, the record will rock.
