Thanks for the samples (+ the joey snare ones). Quick question, do you know what series Pearl drum this is (Export, Masters, Reference?), and also what drum heads were used on the drum? Thanks again for the samples - I'll give them a spin in the next day or so.

yup-.
on for the kick I used this sample for the high-end smack/click but blended it with a deeper/lower/thumpier sample to add beef (didn't like this sample on it's own, but the click helped make it cut through).

the snare in that mix ist only the JJ though.

What's your "thump" sample of choice? I'm seeking one that has has lots of low end but doesn't have the "dirty" unprocessed sound. Cheers
