Hello everyone

I've been thinking about buying this head for christmas but the only thing I find is the combo (Europe).

Do you know if there's some place were I can get it at a good price? Every bite of info would be really helpful!

It has been discontinued, not sure if any small outlets might have leftover stock, but not any of the big American distributors from what I have seen.

In Europe, even Thomann who seemed to have them still last month seems to be without now.

I remember now that a local store do have it. I didn't ask for the price... Which price would you say that would be the limit I should pay for it?? I remember that they were quite cheap lately so I don't want that they steal my wallet... Any ideas?

I found a couple places here in the states that still seem to have it listed, but they want the original MSRP price of $399.00 now.

Cause they didn't sell well at all. I talked to a peavey rep and he said they still have 7000 amps there trying to get rid of.

Aye - they did not sell well at all when they were listed at the MSRP when first released, it seems they moved a little better when significantly discounted however. Too bad really - they seem like a real nice amp for the money. I'm a little disappointed that I did not jump on that bandwagon a few months ago (I have considered buying one of the Studio versions just for recording however.)

Yeah the sold well after they dropped the price just to get rid of back stock just they were not moving any. the amp isn't bad for the price but even at the dropped price i still wouldn't buy one. cause my store sold three and they all had problems months later.

I asked in my local store and it was priced 359€

I think it's more than I really want to pay. What do you think?

In any case, I've seen a Peavey Classic 30 for 259€ 2nd hand. Do you think it would be a good alternative?

Nop... I've just listened some clips in youtube and it seems to have a really warm and clean rock distorsion.

That is what I was looking for, something closer to rock than metal but with character. I listened that it works also fine with a tubescreamer.

Any experiences with it? Is it a reliable amp after all?

Ah, then it could indeed be a good alternative for you. I've only tried it quickly, but I know a couple of guys who have them, and they've been happy.
