I was playing with my limited set of pedals and thought I'd do a blind test of the sound.

thought I might share it, its rough guitar only and un-prepared,

I give it a try if I'm back at home :)! I think the DS-1 should different to the other while I think the other three are in the same ballpark.... I'm excited ;)

ok my guess thru my bad ear plug headphones of my mp3 player I guess:
4: 820 3: DS-1 2: SD-1 1: ZW
or was it the direction you posted?

1: 820, 2: ZW, 3: DS-1, 4: SD-1

You were spot on with the DS-1, it gives itself away, I'm thinking of keely modding the SD-1.

I'm sorta happy with the 820 sound, now just got to find a decent solo sound :)

SD-1 sounds best out of all of them to be honest. The DS-1 sounds crap IMO...could be just settings all that though. I think I'll stick with our Keeley modded TS-9 and original TS-9 for now :p

The DS-1 is more distortion-oriented and doesn't sound as good as a boost because it wasn't intended to boost with any settings normal to a DS-1 (the Keeley mod and many others like it make it more suitable for boosting); the other three are almost identical to each other and all based on our friend the Tube Screamer so they'll sound better where they are.

then the SD-1 sounds the best... I thought 4 is the best and should be the 820 ;)
yeah and the DS-1 was easy!
