Pedal test

I really want to hear tests with the fallowing:

A Ibanez TK999
A seymore duncan SFX-3 (rythem chanell)
A boss Bluesdriver
Any of the damage control stomp preamps
A guyatone metal monster
A Huges and Kettner tube factor
A Keely time machine boost

Honestly some of the above might possible sound like shit for metal but I really would love to hear sound clips with the above used for boosts and or primary source of tone.

I think Dean may want another pedal to use as a solo boost in a live situation, with the OD820 already boosting the rhythms. It's the only reason I can imagine!

It's kind of funny how situations like that come about... you realize a TS is so great for boosting rhythm tones in the studio, you want that sound live... but then you realize you also need a solo boost, so then you're after another pedal... crazy shit. The money pit with gear seems never-ending!

PS. I liked the DS-1 clip, but that's only because it had the most gain, haha. I think if the tones were perhaps dialed a little more closely, we'd have a better platform for comparison. I know that in real-life the OD820 slays all.

yeah good points, for solo its gonna be one of these lol or I'll buy them both and have a play off

the 820 is so good for the rythmn that I'm getting one for studio and one for stage, strangely enough, I separate solo tone from rythm

I tested all pedals for solo tone, and the SD-1/ZW sounded really tight for the solos......but thats another test for another

the 820 is the KING !

I heard that Krank is supposed to come out with a new boost pedal called the Krankshaft. Sounds like it might be pretty good. I'm digging my Keeley ts-9/808 right now but sometimes you want just a little different flavor to play with. It seems like with all the boost pedals your basically altering the mid-range "push" and voicing since your gonna want to use the gain from the amp more.
