Hey all
I was wondering if anyone knew if they were going to release a remastered version of Persistance of Time and/or State of Euphoria?

That actually pissed me off about the new greatest hits. It's cool that, in essece, your buying 4 albums at once, minus about 7 songs, but I rather have remastered albums, too. Hell, I wouldn't mind re-buying all of the old one's with Belladonna if they were remastered. I'd most likely sell my greatest hits, but still. ESPECIALLY if they form Not-Man on the sides! :D

lets hope they get the Deth remaster treatment

Remasters would totally rock :) I was just today thinking of replacing my vinyl POT with a CD, I can't work out why it's the only one I don't have on CD yet. Still remember buying that vinyl the Saturday after it was released :)

A shame the recent releases don't seem to be widely available in the UK.

Screw that!!! Remaster yes. REMIX HELL NO!!!! Imo Mustaine ruined albums like Rust In Peace, by remixing them! I don't wanna hear a new/different drum track, vocals, etc., on songs I've loved for years! I wanna hear the old albums with better sound, that's it!

You stole the words from my mouth.

I'm sure JohnThrax meant that they should at least get some of the treatment. Expanded booklets, remastered sound, aligning spine, and the coop-de-grace, EXCELLENT MARKETING!

well, i actually enjoyed some of the changes that were on the Deth remasters. The remixing was done fantasticly. PSBWB sounds light years better than before, and so does SFSGSW

I'll agree that those two albums sound infinitely better remastered, but RIP was just destroyed in the remix. Dave did say he lost the original vocals for "Take no Prisoners", but it's like there are new vocals on that song through "Tornado of Souls". The main fear with a re-mix would be revisionest history and going the way of George Lucas and Star Wars; "Well, I always wanted THIS riff here instead."

true, RIP has been forever changed, although Holy Wars and Hangar 18 sound AWESOME now. I cant stand how Take No Prisoners sounds now though, along with 5 Magics. The new vocals kinda kill it.

I hope the remaster P.O.T. and State but no way remix. The mixes sound great it just sucks when I listen to State, it sounds so low you have to really crank it up. A new HOT remastered CD would be amazing. They should also repackage it and include the really cool sticker like they did when it originally came out.

To each their own dude, but when I heard the RIP remaster I was dissapointed 'cause their were new vocals, drum tracks, etc. all over the place. Plus I liked Dave's vocals on the original WAY more than on the tracks he re-sung. Maybe it woulda been different if Capitol didn't supposedly lose parts of the master tape? I'm pretty sure there stuff done on all the albums, so fuck that!
