So what about John Bush?

and yes "random acts of senseless violence" is NOT a classic nothing from that album is. I think apart from "vol. 8" is was the biggest mega flop ever...(I can of course never argue if it's your personal highlight....)

Exactly. And how do you define "mega-flop"? It's been said by the band that all of the U.S. production of Vol. 8 sold out. How on earth is that a flop, much less a "mega-flop"? Jesus, it always comes down to this trite crap. There are lots of Bush-era fans here, you know.

There's a lot of spitz/belladonna/ian/benante/bello fans out there too, so what's your point?

If I say something it's "crap" and all the crap some wrote/write about the reunion and stuff is all cool? I am glad the comments on blabbermouth are getting more and more positive, I guess a lotta people released theyw ere much better than they expected on the reunion dates..

What's my point? What's your point? And so on, and so on, ad nauseum... I have nothing more I can say. "Look up 'redundant' and it says 'see redundant'"

I indeed think NOT! though there's some pretty good songs on both metioned albums especially the latter....

and yes "random acts of senseless violence" is NOT a classic nothing from that album is. I think apart from "vol. 8" is was the biggest mega flop ever...(I can of course never argue if it's your personal highlight....)

I would say only very few songs from SOE too...indeed "antisocial" and "be all, end all" but apart from that not really, that is why I referred to "Among the living" but the same goes for "spreading the disease" if you like it that's up to you, but there's no denying they are utter classic!

I think BTW "persistence" does have quite a few classic songs (in my world, got the time, belly of the beast, time), as does "sound of white noise" (only, room for one more)...but the latter is the ONLY Bush era album that really has some historical significance...

it's just BS what mr. Deege says, and no one can deny ANTHRAX was forged in the 8 years they were in the "classic" line up.

In that respect you can compare pretty good to as well the AC/DC as the PRIEST situation....they both made HUGE classics with their "classic" line ups (not original because like ANTHRAX they had different singers when they started out in the form of AL Atkins and Dave Evans) and the first album after the singer change was (in AC/DC's case in Priests case it was "Just" OK) a huge classic and afterf that mediocre albums....with the accasional good one (Like "Angel Of Retribution" or "The Razors Edge....").....

I agree completely! Just look at the record sales, Among has gone platinum (I think) and Vol 8 and WCFYA have sold what? 4,000 copies each?

Funny how there are more classics on "among the living" than in teh whole BUsh era back catalogue combined.....

And don't give me crap like that's not true just ask 9 out of 10 metalheads! sorry to say "drop the ball" or "random acts of senseless violence" are NOT Classics!

And FYI John wasn't better, let's just say he was "different".....better is a matter of taste.

Without Bush Anthrax would have withered and died years ago.

Bush Classics:
Potters Field
piss n vinegar
Only
Room For One More
Black Lodge
Invisible
Inside Out
Catharsis
Ramdom acts of Senseless Violence
Fueled
What doesn't die
Refuse to be Denied
Nothing
Burst
Nobody knows Anything
Safe Home
Sodium Penathol
HyProGlo
Think About an End
This is not an Exit
Packaged Rebelion
In a Zone
Bare
Taking the Music Back
Black Dahlia
Cadilac Rock Box

Now my maths aint great but that appears to be more classics than POT and ATL combined. :tickled:

I went to a bar recently that had an internet juke box and for shits and giggles I played both era Anthrax songs and the Bush stuff got the best responses from the crowded bar. Sorry. Bush is just better.

I'm not arguing. I'm just telling you that Bush is better. Sorry.

Now I guess you really mastered the fine art of discussing.....HAHAHA, try and pass your exams with answers like that! I guess you haven;t passed any based on your arguing skills.

Everybody gets psyched at the thought of the reunion. It was pretty damn cool, the crowd was up for it. When the hype wears off and the boys go back to the studio, Bush is, and always will be be, the best vocalist.

That's why I actually fear their "going back to the studio"...

Anyone ever thought about who writes Anthrax's music? It's usually fucking Scott and Charlie. So, as some of you are saying that "NFL is from Joey-era and it's way better than, say, Toast to the Extras" so Joey is better than John" or "Only is much better than Make Me Laugh so John wins". Joey and Joey are only singing the songs that other people wrote the music for, so I don't think it's up to them whether the music's good or bad.

Anyway, I thought about the "classic" songs and...

Joey-era:
AIR
Lone Justice
Madhouse
Gung Ho
Among the Living
Caught in A Mosh
I Am the Law
Indians
NFL
I'm the Man
Be All, End All
Antisocial
Now It's Dark
Time
Keep it in the Family
Belly of the Beast
Got the Time
Bring the Noise

John-era:
Potter's Field
Only
Room for One More
Packaged Rebellion
Hy Pro Glo
Black Lodge
Random Acts of Senseless Violence
Fueled
Crush
Inside Out
What Doesn't Die
Refuse to Be Denied
Safe Home
Nobody Knows Anything
Strap it On
Cadilac Rock Box

So what does that mean? It means that I like 'em both but fact of the matter is, Joey-era has more "classic" material...
