Interesting that you put the 2005 version of Broderskapets Ring so high. The original 1996 version is pretty much the only Dimmu song I play these days.

I think it's mainly a question of which production style you like better (clean vs. kult), but there's also the issue of the more dumbed-down way Dimmu started performing their music in 2001, which can be heard on Stormblast MMV.

I just think Broderskapets Ring has an epic melody which suits the more bombastic production of MMV. As a whole-album experience, I probably prefer the original album.
