20 YEARS AGO TODAY! I moved to SF and have been here ever since! I love it! (been a regular in the Bay Area Metal scene for 24 years though!) My mom and asshole step dad thought I wouldn't last being a small town boy in the big bad violent city! Proved 'em wrong!:headbang::headbang::headbang:

Cool deal, dude! San Francisco's an awesome place! It's where they filmed some of the "Dirty Harry" movies, I believe. Also, a few scenes from "Big Trouble In Little China", took place there. And one of my favorite places ever is there, Alcatraz! I went to Slim's a little over a year ago to see THOR in concert! That was great! Anyway, it's cool that you're still rockin' in S.F.!

Well done Danny.

I hated living in the city when I moved to London.
Although where I live is heavily industrialised, I am also right in the countryside too and only a 10 minute journey from the coast and about 20 miles from a national park.

I just felt penned in in London. So i escaped again.

In the US do you guys have any divides?
Like in the UK we have a north/South divide where traditionally we dislike each other, the southerners earn more money, pay more for food and housing etc.
I know theres an alleged east west divide, but does it actually exist?
Danny would people have frowned upon you being a small town guy moving to the city?

Brian: Correct all those movies were filmed her and hey! I was at that Thor show also!

Time Warrior: San Francisco has a lot of districts. I first lived in the Haight Ashbury now I live in the Richmond. there's kind of a rift between San Francisco and the east bay (Oakland,Hayward,Concord) and The South bay(San Jose etc) and California in general has always had that like the divides between souther California and Northern California. Personally I don't give a crap about such petty nonsense and don't play that.

As for me,I was all ready a regular in the SF Metal scene since '85 so locals who knew me from the shows were shocked when I told them I was living here now because they all ready thought I lived here since I was at damn near every show (and a 2 hour ride back to boring worthless Santa Cruz County!) but the funny thing is,2 weeks after I moved here, the big earthquake of '89 hit and my old home town of Watsonville and most of Santa Cruz got hit the hardest by it. So afterthat when I'd tell people I just moved here from Santa Cruz,They'd laugh and tell me I moved just in the nick of time!

I thought I recognized you at the Thor concert! Coool!!!! I drove up from L.A. for that! And let's not forget that San Francisco is Metallica's stomping grounds! That's Heavy Metal History right there!
