I think everyone would appreciate if someone who was at the Phoenix show last night would write a short review and post it here!!

Thank you.

It was amazing...my friends and I got there around 1:30 pm and saw Lopez and Peter hanging out by their bus. We went up to them and talked to them and my friend was gonna have Lopez sign his sticks but Lopez told him he wanted to use my friends sticks tonight. Both of them said that they'll let us in the soundcheck and they did. It was the most amazing night ever. They played the same setlist...

Master
Drapery
The Moor
Windowpane
In My Time of Need
April Ethereal
Deliverance
Blackwater Park
Demon Of The Fall

The sound seemed a little off, Peter's guitar wasn't loud enough but it still kicked ass regardless. Warning to anyone who is seeing the Class Of Zero band open the next 2 dates, it's Limp Bizkit Nu Metal garbage, they had no applause and everyone was yelling and bashing them. One of the worst bands I have ever heard. Devildriver was just as bad. We all waited after the show a couple hours and met the rest of the guys. Truly one awesome night.
Thank you Opeth

I was there. It was one of the best shows I've been to in a long time. I ended up outside waiting for a friend until about halfway through Moonspell's set, so I missed the first band, although from what I could hear outside, I didn't miss much. I got inside while Moonspell was playing "The Southern Deathstyle." They sounded really good, but I only saw four songs of them. I did find it amusing that people started a pit when they played the slowest song of their set, but at least people got into them.
Devildriver was the biggest disappointment of the night, due to the fact that they didn't completely suck. While I'm definately no fan, they did have alot of energy, and put on the best show they could. It still wasn't too great, and I found myself at the bar after about two songs.
Next up was the almighty Opeth. I won't bother posting a setlist, as it was the same as the last few shows. It was really cool to see Lopez seemingly enjoying himself behind the kit. I'm glad he's well again. As for the rest of the band, they just ruled. I don't think Mendez stopped headbanging the entire time. Peter looked like a 70's rock god, I don't know why, that's just what I think of when I saw that guy. Mikael had plenty of amusing comments to make throughout the night. In the end, they played for over an hour and a half, but it went by far too quickly.

I almost forgot, I took a bunch of pictures at the show, but I can't post them yet due to;
A) My camera's an antique model from like 3 years ago that still uses that film stuff. So I have to wait to get my pics back from the photo lab.
B) My scanner's broken, so I have to use a friend's.
Despite this, I can assure you that as soon as is possible, I will post some photos of the show.

It was a great show. I'm curious as to who booked that Class of Zero band... they just didnt fit in. Devil Driver and Opeth's sound check took a while... but Opeth's set was well worth it. Great show, Mike's voice sounded awesome, and Opeth was simply awesome. It was my first time seeing them, so I was blown away. The Moor was great, as was Master's Apprentices.

Moonspell wasn't too bad, I got into them. They played pretty well I thought.

Devildriver is wayyy too gimmicky, I could see them being like the next Slipknot or something along those lines (you could market the hell out of them to the nu metal kids). They didnt sound bad... their music is just generic, nothing new. Pretty crappy.

Me while watching Opeth : :OMG:

Opeth was indeed awesome! I was next to the soundboard and their sound guy seemed pissed at times...something wasn't working right and he was constantly re-adjusting the sound and you could tell at a couple of points that something wasn't right-

They came on like Rock Gods...the crowd just went nuts- Mikael's voice was incredible, really incredible and strong...he sings better live than recorded- I liked the piano solo for "Windowpane"...different- "The Moor" killed everyone, what a treat...as did the whole set, it was a HEAVY night- I was really happy to see the whole band (with Lopez)- Peter did look like 70's rock god- Mendez's head was possessed, it never stopped-

Mikael seemed to really appreciate Az, he mentioned that this was by far their best experience here- An awesome night of Opeth...did they sign afterward? I didn't stay-

Moonspell did a good job and got a good response, heavy set as well-

Devildriver was kind of cookie-cutter but to their credit, they played hard and did get the crowd up...the pit was really moving during their set- It seemed like they had alot of fans here (can't count myself as one, but they put on a good energetic show)

the first band was more of the same...don't even remember their name they were so the same-

Yes, i was there with thelordofguitars and we indeed got to watch the soundcheck onstage with Opeth thanks to M-Lo. Opeth rocked.

I have been to every Arizona performance and I truly this one was better than their first ever time thru. To start off with, we could actually "see" the band. Their previous times thru town, they played at the mason jar so if you weren't in front of the band or 8 feet tall, you couldn't see any of the members.

I couldn't stand the first band. Devildriver bored me.

I enjoyed seeing Moonspell again. It seemed like they played longer than when they came thru town recently.

Opeth just seem so much more comfortable up onstage. Simply amazing as usual!!:worship:

Yeah they did a signing, we tried right after the show and they tried kicking us out because of curfew, but we snuck around the back by their bus and eventually security was cool with us. Each member came out one by one within 2 hours.
