I would love to listen to band with following members:

Vocals: Geoff Tate - Queensryche
Guitar: Angus Young - AC/DC
Guitar: Phil Lynott - Thin Lizzy
Bass: Steve Harris - Iron Maiden
Drums: Eric Carr - Kiss

Any comments ?

Cheers

I reckon this would be great:

Vocals: Mark Slaughter (Slaughter/Vinnie Vincent Invasion)
Guitar: Warren DeMartini (Ratt)
Guitar: Bruce Kulick (Kiss)
Bass: Nikki Sixx (Motley Crue)
Drums: Bobby Rock (Vinnie Vincent Invasion/Nitro)

I think Warren and Bruce would be a great twin guitar attack together. Their styles would blend nicely! That would be a great hard rock/hair metal supergroup!

i prefer my own bands line up ;)

nah here's my vote:
voc blackie lawless
git angus young
git steve morse
bass DD Verni
drums mickey dee

i just wonder how they could possibly play together

Well, not really old-school members, but eh

Vocals: Mikael Akerfeldt
Guitar: John Petrucci
Guitar: Chuck Schuldiner
Bass: Steve DiGiorgio
Drums: Dave Lombardo or Mike Portnoy or Gene Hoglan.. can't pick...

Guitars-Jeff Loomis(Nevermore)
Guitars-Trey Azagthoth(Morbid Angel
Bass-Steve Digiorgio(Death, Control Denied, Sadus...blah blah blah)

sorry, but this sounds like a big pile of crap to me

Riiiight...*looks at your list* At least they can write music that sounds different unlike a certain Anus...Angus Young. Plus Hellhammer rips Mickey Dee apart(even though I do like Mickey's stuff).

Alice Cooper - Vocals
Yngwie Malmsteen - Guitar
Gary Moore - Guitar
Gene Simmons - Bass
Bobby Rondinelli - Drums
Don Airey - Keyboards

I would call the band "Ego". Quite varied but it would be interesting to see what they could come up with

It would merit that name even if it were a Gene Simmons solo project.

what i meant was that you only picked death/black metal people, and frankly - death/black metal bands havent done ANYTHING noteworthy for music history. i may not know these bands too good as i dont like this kind of music, but if they were any good they would be more popular would they?

but after all, it's all just about personal taste so it doesnt matter that much if one is good or not to be on your list as long as you like it ;)

e.g. i myself cant understand a few choices of other people here either, but like i said - tastes are different and that is good. :)

As far as I'm aware, not including any school bands and such, Phil Lynott only played bass with Skid Row (with Gary Moore) and Thin Lizzy. He could probably play a six string though!:headbang: :headbang: :headbang: :headbang:
