Hi there,
I recently started recording my own music and noticed a problem with my guitar sound, which I think is related to the pickups or wiring, but I'm not sure.
I have 2 guitars, a 1987 Charvel Model 3 and a Hondo 760-B Start Copy. Both are all original pickups, wiring, etc and play very well, but when I play/record them I noticed a "warbling" or "shaky" kind of sound when I listen carefully. It's most noticeable when I play single notes and let them ring out. It's espaecially bad when I have distortion kicked on. It almost sounds as if the signal is trying to cut out, if that makes any sense.
I have ruled out my headphones and POD 2 as the culprits, and I do plan to replace the pickups soon anyways (once the $$$ is handy), but I just wanted to be sure that the pickups or wiring were in fact the problem, or if simply re soldering my ground or something might do the trick.
Any help or suggestions would be great.
Thanks
