Has anyone else noticed that the sound at the Troc isn't that loud? I can be right next to the speakers and it doesn't hurt my ears like Jaxx or the Thunderdome (RIP).

TB--yeah!! i kinda like it though. i forgot my earplugs and thought i was gonna be doomed, since my ears were still ringing from king diamond. but alas i walked out of the troc with my eardrums intact and not reeking of smoke.

Ha, I put on my new Nile - Annihilation of the Wicked sweatshirt yesterday cause I got cold in my house and instantly started to reek of cigarettes.

For the record though, most pain I've been in is Akercocke at Thunderdome when the singer did that growl/scream he does when I was a foot away from the speaker (I've found by standing directly in front of the speaker you can get closer to the stage, I can't imagine why more people don't do it).

And to think you had to pay to see that. Amon Amarth I can take shirtless, however some bands just need to remain clothed. OWWW MY RETINAS! Dani Filth would be totally nude onstage save for the glitter and fishnet.
