if it's for one gig. One can only dream (like a U.S tour!)
What are your thoughts on this fine band! Many nights I've got baked
and listened to The Dark Side Of The Moon tell me your stories. I know
Zepplin might have a interesting one! I wonder why?

I really would like to go and see Gilmour, Mason, Wright and Waters together playing live all the great music 1972-78 (they may skip "The Wall" and beyond :D ), I have but never managed to see live in due time.

'Dogs', 'Shine On You Crazy Diamond', 'Echoes', 'The Great Gig In The Sky', 'Atom Heart Mother' for starters and then whatever it may come ;)

And now for my story...

Some years ago a friend of mine (MIA) had a night radio show. So for Fridays I showed up to play some music (read feeding metal to the masses  ). On several we decided to make band specials, beingone Pink Floyd. So we play music from each album in chronological order, as well as taking live call form the listeners.
So there we were playing PF and taking calls when I got this one:

Wyvern: 107.5 how are you doing?
Listener: Fine, fine, great show. Had you played 'Time' yet?
Wyvern: Not yet, coming soon.
Listener: Cool man, can you tell when it's going to show.
Wyvern: Sure, we announce every song and a brief summary of the album and band prior to each song.
Listener: Cool man, but can you tell me when 'Time' is going to play?
Wyvern: No problem, we will.
Listener: It's very important, I need to know when it's going to start
Wyvern: Ok, ok, we'll do it, relax
Listener: Thanks dude

We never knew what was the IMPORTANT thing the guy want it, but judging for the voice and the intelligent conversation was something very ganjical. :p

 I like their "Atom Heart Mother" to "Animals" period, and then the post Waters era.

Never dug the pure psychodelia years, nor "The Final Cut" :yuk: (I have "The Wall" due to historical factors).

Fuck I used to get Stoned AND Trip on lots and lots of acid to pink floyd and now I cant stand em hahaha Heard em waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay to much they are incredibly depressing IMO they are Great Musicians with some awsome songs but I just cant listen to them on purpose .... that and if I hear Money to many more times I'm going to shoot myself

yes, I, too, hate "Money"

....and to think our local rock station named it the greatest rock song of all time :yuk:

This is great news that these guys are even speaking again, let alone playing together. I really hope this gets broadcast somewhere, because I want to see it for sure. I seen PF on the Division Bell tour and they were simply amazing. I hope this may lead them to get together, record and tour once more and then put the band to bed. Go out with a bang.

I would love to see them live.. i'm kicking myself for years for not seeing them on the Momentary Lapse tour or Division Bell tour.. Let's hope they do decide to record and tour or at the very least tour if Roger Water's ego doesnt get in the way when they play this upcoming show... no doubt that performance will be recorded.. i liked all their albums from Darkside to the Wall and the last two as well as Delicate Sound of Thunder.. me and my coworkers listen to alot of Floyd at work because we can't play metal in a Jewelry store lol ...

Yeah.. Final Cut is horrible disaster.

Any of you fuckers ever go to those Floyd "laser light shows?"

I should had. They did it at least twice in Reno, and was too lazy to attend :erk:

Ahem, Pink Floyd is a totaly overrated and average band :loco:

Man I stay in such a remote place, but(butbutbutbut) I did see Roger Waters live "in the flesh" along with the likes of Doyle Bramhall and Snowy White and yess, I will gladly wager my bodyparts to see them as a band in the whole :worship: It is very good news for me indeed, thanks

I like Floyd but unlike brother Vern, I like the psychodelic stuff. I own DSotM, The Wall, and The Division Bell. I though The Division Bell was very underrated. I did get mightily stoned (beer, pot and a muscle relaxer) watching "The Wall" and thought it was weird, so I watched it sober and came to the conclusion that it was still weird. Like the CD better than the movie.
